Hello to those viewing my blog, Happy Thanksgiving coming soon, to you and your families. As a grandmother I am busy thinking about menus and family arrangements, however I wanted to take some time out and give a report on what I saw on March 17, 2015. Perhaps some of you have seen this also. March 17, 2015 is special to me because part of my family migrated here from Ireland, so I was in a good mood that day as I drove back from my mother's home. As I approached my turn off to the right on 200, from CR 42, going west, I saw what I thought was a large almost oval huge red sun sitting on the horizon, just above the Okalawaha bridge directly up ahead less than a mile and a half away. I stopped my car and observed it carefully, "no, it isn't the sun" hit me like a ton of bricks. The sun sets in the southwest. I had watched many spectacular sunsets from Sunny Hill Preserve next to the Okalawaha Bridge, sooo what was this huge red object that seemed many miles wide and several miles high? As luck would have it, my camera was several blocks away down 200 in my twin sister's trailor. I raced down the bumpy clay road to get it, but of course when I returned the object was no longer in sight. The weather was clear, the time approximately 6:30 to 7:00 oclock. If you have seen this object please post a comment on this blog. Thank you, may you be blessed this holiday season with family reunions, lots of smiles and hugs, and many happy memories.
